Kyle suggested a European getaway to Paris, France for a May vacation since Katie had never been to Europe and both were interested in the culture, museums, and sight seeing. A trip to Versailles was definitely on the agenda, as well. Unbeknownst to Katie, Kyle had bought a ring a few months before their departure and had intended on making the European getaway the most memborable trip ever. He proposed at Versailles in a beautiful courtyard behind the palace overlooking a pond with an intricate statue of Apollo emerging from the water. Not only was the view perfect, but the previously dismal weather cleared up to allow for sun and warmth. She happily accepted, and they completed the day with a walk around the remainder of the picturesque property.
